2. Summary

The “Schach Tab” extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us. We do not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising services. The extension does not require any browser permissions.

3. What the extension does

When you open a new tab, the extension retrieves the public daily puzzle from lichess.org and displays it. To do so, a request is sent to the Lichess servers. As with any internet request, Lichess technically receives your IP address in the process. We ourselves do not receive this data. The processing of data by Lichess is governed by the Lichess privacy policy: https://lichess.org/privacy

4. Local storage

The extension stores data exclusively locally in your browser (localStorage): the most recently loaded daily puzzle, so that it can also be displayed offline, and the “solved in a row” counter. This data never leaves your device. It is deleted when you uninstall the extension or clear your browser data.

5. Links to schachatelier.de

The extension contains a link to our website schachatelier.de. You are only redirected to our website if you click this link. The processing of data on our website is governed by our Privacy Policy.

6. Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell any data and do not pass any data on to third parties. We do not receive any user data via the extension.

7. Your rights

Since we do not process any personal data via the extension, we hold no stored data that you could view or have deleted. Regardless of this, you are entitled to your rights under the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, e.g. the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information).
