Christmas Gifts for Men

Christmas gifts for men that don't disappear into a cupboard after unwrapping: handcrafted chess sets with a personal engraving. A showpiece under the tree, a permanent place on the table after the holidays. For smaller budgets there are travel chess sets and chess piece keyrings.

Frequently asked questions about Christmas gifts for men

How long does delivery take before Christmas?

Orders are usually dispatched within 2–3 days, and delivery generally takes 3–7 days from the date of order. Parcel services are busier in the run-up to Christmas, so please allow a few extra days.

Can I have the chess set engraved with a name?

Yes. Engraving is included in the price of our chess sets. Up to 30 characters are possible, for example a name, a date or a short dedication. The engraver decides on the position – directly on the wood where possible, otherwise on a metal plaque.

Which chess set suits a man who rarely plays?

If the set will mainly be on display in the living room or study, sets with metal pieces or boards with mosaic and inlay work are a good choice, as they also work as decoration. For men who play regularly, classic Staunton pieces on a larger board are the better choice.

Which size is right?

For a coffee table or for travel, boards of around 30–40 cm are enough. Regular players are better served by 45–50 cm boards with larger pieces. The exact dimensions are given for every product in cm and inches.

Are there smaller gifts as well?

Yes – travel chess sets and chess piece keyrings work well as a smaller gift or as an addition to a chess set.

Do you deliver to Austria and Switzerland?

Yes. We deliver throughout the EU and to Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the USA and Canada. For deliveries to Switzerland, we cover customs duties and import VAT.
